Living in Sunny Florida, I tend to be outdoors a lot with my girls, whether it’s the beach, the park or going for a swim. While I love doing those activities with the girls, I always have to have a backup plan if the park isn’t on our todo list for the day.
So, I did some research and came up with some unique and super fun DIY outdoor activities for your littles.
1. Nature Scavenger Hunt for Toddlers

I absolutely love this idea because it really engages your child in nature and helps them learn about the world around them. Fun, outdoors and education – This is a win/win.
2. The Pool Noodle Race Track

Now, I don’t know about anyone else’s children but my girls are OBSESSED with cars. This outdoor play time happens to be their favorite (not surprised) and they will spend a ton of time playing with their race cars and running around the track. This activity uses up all their fuel…(get it?) and they nap shortly after.
3. Easy DIY Rainbow Hopscotch

This activity requires some easy work and can be finished within 30 mins to be ready for constant use. My girls love this activity because of the bright colors and the fact that they get to jump around on them.
4. Fun Outdoor Lounge

Some of the best ideas come from items you already have. This outdoor lounge is just a kiddie pool with some blankets and pillows! I mean, how simple is that? This is also great for stargazing and reading.
5. Big Outdoor Chalkboard

Fun outdoor activities are crucial when you have a child and this large chalkboard is the key to some easy fun. I love crafts that involve our children to express their creative side as well as not having such a mess to cleanup once they are finished. Yuck! My girls love to put chalk in their mouth play with chalk, so this was a must in our backyard and it was super easy to make. Score!
I hope you found some activities to enjoy with your child. I am all about quick, easy and fun and these all fit the bill.
